Cranbrook Pro Rodeo has been a stop on the Canadian Professional Rodeo Association roster for over twenty years. 2011 was as exciting as ever with three action-packed performances featuring top cowboys and cowgirls from all over North America. Vold Rodeo Ltd. provided the rough stock and Trevor Purdy the timed event cattle. Fans enjoyed Wes Cummings as the Cranbrook Rodeo Announcer and Trick Riders Cassie Horner and Shelby Cummings as part of the arena action. Boys Steer Riding was on the roster of rodeo events in 2011. Cranbrook Rodeo is part of both the Duane Daines Saddle Bronc Series and the Kenton Randle Bareback Series.
Once again, a Barbecue Dinner and Dance was held Saturday evening with Friday, Aug 19 designated as Tough Enough to Wear Pink Day. Sunday was Children's Day. Our concessions and beer garden were in full swing! Fans, contestants, volunteers and committee members were, once again, a big part of the Cranbrook Pro Rodeo. A big thank you goes out to all our sponsors! We look forward to seeing you the third weekend in August, 2012!
